Recently, a friend asked me why I was creating a new website when I was obviously so pressed for time.  My response was quick and easy:  Because I feel led by God to create this site and make resources and support available to Christian writers of Christian fiction and non-fiction.

            I have been writing stories since I was in fourth grade.  I've been a "writer" since graduating from college.  And I've been a Christian since roughly the ninth grade, when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and grasped with both hands His promise for Salvation. 

            While I have been published and I have experienced mild success, I have not grasped the gold ring:  the book contract.  Many of my friends who know of my faith, but don't share it, sometimes challenge me and ask me why God hasn't given me the desires of my heart.  The answer to that is both easy and complicated.  God's time is never our time.  The Lord's timing is always perfect, whether we agree with it or not, all things happen according to His Master Plan for our lives.

              I know my talent to weave together a story is a God-given talent.  I know what a blessing He has bestowed on me and I count on His guidance every day with my writing and my life.  I started out as a romance writer and slowly I grew and changed as my life's priorities grew and changed.  I saw my writing evolve from what I thought was necessary to what was pleasing to the Lord.  Every day I see God's hand in what I write.  I see Him leading me away from the words of my past and into the work of my future.  I'm looking forward to the day when He uses the gift He gave me for His plan for me.

            While you spend time on this website gleaning from it all that you can, I hope you can meet writers of like spirituality so that you can fellowship and learn, share a laugh, a cry, and a helpful hint.  I want all who come here to feel welcome, encouragement, and a willingness to post their work as well as read the work posted by other writers.  I want to share our accomplishments, our faith, and our struggles.  Who knows?  We just might make a few friends, deepen our walk with God, and learn from each other.
